Whither Blogcutter's Blog?

Today's post is going to be very short. I still plan to put something up here every day of the pandemic lockdown for as long as I'm able, but some technical difficulties are giving me considerable grief.

Specifically, I can still post and edit, but cannot use most of the viewing options like Reading Page, Recent Entries, View Updated Journal or Archive. It's as if I'm running into a kind of Howard Engel syndrome, still able to write but the computer can't make sense of or display the results in a way I can easily make use of or read afterwards. I reported the problem yesterday to the good techie folks at Dreamwidth, so we'll see what happens.

I recently downloaded a new browser, so I don't know if it could be related to that. Or maybe it's to do with the fact that I subscribed to a couple of feeds? Still, I subsequently unsubscribed and it doesn't seem to have helped. Or is it the fact that I've been posting more frequently lately and so, most likely, have a lot of other Dreamwidth users?

I guess all I can do at this point is hope for the best.

I'm seeing you on my reading page on an up-to-date copy of Safari on my phone… I hope the help desk at Dreamwidth can sort things out!

It seems to be working today although the ticket is still open. I've no idea if they fixed it (fingers crossed!) or if it's just a recurring or intermittent problem.
