Taco Tuesday
Sep. 1st, 2020 04:04 pmToday we visited Casa Mexico for tacos:

The last time we were there was almost exactly six months ago, just before the great pandemic lockdown struck. Things looked a little different today.
Although they are now open for indoor dining, we decided to try their patio today. We pretty much knew what we wanted to order: vegetarian tacos, a bottle of mango Jarritos, followed by a mug of spiced Mexican coffee. So what was different from last time? First, of course, the fact that we had to wear masks when we actually went inside to announce our presence. Second, there were fewer tables and chairs on the patio than I remembered from last year, though of course the patio was not an option back in March, even pre-pandemic. We drank our Jarritos directly from the bottles, though it's possible we could have asked for glasses and/or straws. We didn't pay with cash and we had to provide contact information (just name, phone number and e-mail, as well as the date and time) in case one of the staff or other diners is later diagnosed with Covid-19.
Another somewhat surprising (and positive) difference was that the restaurant actually seemed to have more people there than were there back in March. I hope that means people are continuing to discover the place and it will survive the potentially difficult post-patio seasons ahead!
