I think I just associate "houselessness" or "unhoused" with a particularly liberal point of view that wants technocratic solutions and doesn't want encampments near them. Which isn't really fair as a lot of advocates and even some homeless people use it as well, but it strikes me pretending the problem is words rather than material conditions.

While I might want the softer blow of a euphemism in rejection letters (though, to be fair, I can decode it and it's still a blow), I think the world would be a better place if you could openly say "I'm leaving this place because it's toxic. Do better."
