Date: 2024-11-02 08:37 pm (UTC)Point 2: Nope. It's not that "alcohol CAN be toxic." Alcohol IS toxic. Small doses can be (mostly) shrugged off as the critical thing for damage from a toxin is dosage. Much of what we consider 'proper' is from having been effectively indoctrinated. Given: people like self medicating with various mind-alternating substances. That doesn't make it non-toxic. I used to close down the bar 4-6 days a week, but back then, i'd work it off doing construction every day. Now, i'm older and it's been a long time since i've even had a drink. Being retired is good. #smile I'm an advocate of not boozing, but also know that trying to mess with people about their choices isn't a social thing to do. The only reason i'm posting this is because i think it's a good thing to get people to be aware of things. I won't continue unless you wish me to.
