I suspect that the extensive use of monitoring/tracing in Asian countries that are doing pretty well right now could have something to do with T&T being at the forefront of similar techniques closer to here.

And yeah, I hope pretty much all of the Québec political establishment eats crow on the whole mask thing. Apparently France is doubling down, though, classifying religious face coverings as not-medical-masks, so that a woman in a niqab can be fined for both not wearing a mask and wearing a mask.
