With more and more people setting up home offices and home classrooms and hideyholes for individual members of the family to quarantine themselves, there is a crying need to furnish spaces for low-income families and the nouveau pauvre.
According to their site, they can furnish an entire home for $250. They are run entirely by volunteers so administrative costs are low to nonexistent. As with most charities, cash donations go farther than in-kind ones. And during the pandemic, collection of furniture donations has been suspended, as has drop-off except by appointment.
